Few remember the actual food, but the Juicy Chicken sign was a Main Street staple for years, even after the business shut its doors. It finally came down in March of 2007 (their sign at their Davie location came down many moons before).
It wouldn't be until a few years later when the Rumpus Room would sign a demolition lease on the building at 2689 Main Street, breathing new life into the space.
Like most things in Vancouver, the Rumpus Room had to move when the building was slated to be turned into a mixed use condominium building. It now operates at the corner of 7th and Main, where the old Foundation restaurant was. Juicy Chicken lives only in our memories and our hearts.
