NEW! BC Parks Patches

Regular price $10.00

The BC Parks Foundation's patches let you celebrate your adventure in the wild, incredible nature of British Columbia by collecting scenes from your favourite parks.

The majority of the profits from these go directly to the foundation, which is working to create the best parks system in the world. As you collect these you're helping to keep our province beautiful.

ABOUT

  • Each patch is 7 cm (2.75 inches) in diameter.
  • Sold separately
  • Use the iron-on backing or stitch the patch to your favourite gear. Link to instructions at the bottom of this page.

How to attach a patch to your favourite clothing or gear

    1. Ensure the fabric surface is clean and free of wrinkles.
    2. Warm the iron on a medium setting, about 140-150 degrees Celsius.
    3. Warm the material where you'll be applying the patch.
    4. Place the patch on the fabric and put a thin cloth on top of it to protect the design.
    5. Iron with moderate pressure for 5-20 seconds.
    6. Turn the garment inside-out and iron the back of the patch firmly for 20-30 seconds.
    7. Let the patch and fabric cool for one minute. If the edge of the patch can still be lifted, repeat step 6.

    Note on materials:
The iron-on application is not suited for polyester, nylon or spandex materials, caps or other gear with a structured shape, as ironing could damage or deform the material. Some materials, like mesh, coated fabrics, sweaters, ribbed fabric, fabric with a lot of stretch or rough surfaces, also may not be suitable for the iron-on application.

Instead, we recommend sewing or using velcro or a textile adhesive to secure the patches.

How to care for your patch after it's secured
  • Hand-wash the garment or use a mesh clothing bag in your laundry machine.
  • Turn clothing inside-out and iron as normal.
  • While durable, patch adhesive may not be waterproof.
